The Numbers Behind the Bid

Every stat is a spec sheet entry. Read them the way you read a submittal.

0sq ft

Shop Floor Capacity

Gauge operates from an 18,000-square-foot fabrication facility purpose-built for high-volume sheet metal production. Three plasma tables, two CNC press brakes rated to 220 tons, and a dedicated hemming line run simultaneous jobs without the scheduling collisions that kill contractor timelines. When a general contractor drops a 400-piece duct order on a Tuesday, it ships by Thursday — not because we rush, but because the floor is engineered to absorb that load without touching a single other active job.

Three plasma tables. Two 220-ton press brakes. One promise: your order doesn't wait on someone else's.

Standard Turnaround

Forty-eight hours from approved drawing to shipping dock is not a marketing claim — it is the production standard written into every quote. Facility managers replacing failed rooftop units at midnight need parts that arrive before the crew does. Our 48-hour standard means a work order placed at close of business Monday leaves the building Wednesday morning, fully labeled, bundled by install sequence, and accompanied by a material certification that satisfies any inspector who shows up unannounced.

The part you need Thursday morning needs to be ordered Monday evening. We make that math work.

Active Job Sites This Month

Twenty-three active job sites running simultaneously is not a number we advertise — it is a number we manage. Each site gets a dedicated ticket number, a named contact on our production floor, and a real-time status update whenever a phase changes. Mechanical engineers who have been burned by fabricators who ghost mid-project will find that Gauge communicates in the language of RFIs and submittals, not vague email threads. We track your project the way your project manager tracks theirs.

Twenty-three sites. Zero missed submittals this quarter. That's the qualification packet in a sentence.

Combined Journeyman Experience

The six journeymen on Gauge's production floor carry a combined 94 years of Sheet Metal Workers International Association experience — an average of 15.6 years each. They have read every drawing convention, every tolerancing shorthand, every non-standard spec that mechanical engineers use to communicate intent without writing paragraphs. When a drawing says "match existing profile," a Gauge journeyman knows what that means without a phone call. That institutional knowledge is the difference between a fabricator who ships parts and one who ships solutions.

Ninety-four years of journeyman experience means we read drawings the way you write them.
What We Make

Three Product Lines.
One Fabrication Standard.

Rectangular, Round, and Oval — Cut to Drawing

Gauge fabricates spiral round, oval, and rectangular ductwork to SMACNA Class A through D pressure classifications. Every piece is cut from approved shop drawings, not field sketches. Seams are Pittsburgh-locked or snap-button on rectangular; spiral-welded on round. Gauge-matched fittings — elbows, tees, transitions, and offsets — are produced in the same run as the trunk duct so gauge tolerances stack correctly. We supply material certifications for all galvanized and stainless stock used in food-service or cleanroom applications.

Capabilities Sheet

The Gauge capabilities sheet is the document your project manager submits to the general contractor before the pre-bid meeting. It covers shop certifications, material standards, equipment list, crew qualifications, and a reference project log with contact-verified outcomes. It is not a brochure. It is a qualification packet formatted for the submittal binder.

Included in the PDF

Shop certifications and insurance certificates
Equipment list with rated capacities
Crew qualifications and SMWIA certifications
Reference project log (10 projects, verified contacts)
Material standards and gauge specifications
Standard lead times by product category

We do not sell or share your information. Company name and project type help us include the most relevant reference projects in your download. Work email ensures the PDF reaches the person who needs it.
